How much are membership dues? Associates

When are SATW dues billed? Members
are sent dues renewal invoices beginning in August. The deadline for
membership renewal by dues payment is October 31st of each year. Dues
may be paid online.

What are my first-year costs? Actives The
application fee for Actives (journalists) is $250.00. A $50.00
non-refundable deposit is due with the application and supporting
documents and should accompany your packet. The remaining $200.00 will
be billed if you are accepted. You will also be billed dues for the year
in which you join. Dues for your first year will be prorated according
to when you are accepted. Please see how

How do I become a Senior member? Senior
membership will be granted to those with who have been members for 10
years and have made significant contributions to SATW, or have been
members 15 years and have attended at least five meetings. Members
requesting Senior status must submit a Request for Senior Status form to
SATW headquarters. The form will include a list of meetings attended
and/or details of SATW activities to document a significant
contribution. Click for details

How long does it take for my application to
be processed? To expedite your application, apply online
rather than sending any material to SATW headquarters by mail. Your
application and uploaded supporting documents will be reviewed online by
the membership committee of the chapter for your region. Your name will
also be sent to the entire membership for comments on your
qualifications and professionalism. The comment period lasts 30 days.
You should be notified of the membership committee's decision within 30
to 90 days of applying.

SATW members?
SATW does not make
available information about individual members. Contact information is
made available by individual members in the directory. If
appropriate, headquarters will forward a message intended for an
individual member.

New members receive full privileges once the
balance of the application fee and pro-rated dues are received by
