Lisa Evans (Running Unopposed for First Vice Chair)
Lisa is a freelance travel journalist, photographer, and author of the book 100 Things to Do in Coastal Mississippi Before You Die, available through Reedy Press.
Lisa started her travel writing career in 2017, to combine two things she has longed to do for many years. Writing her book came out of a close alliance with her affiliation with the tourism board in her area. She loves nature and the outdoors and often includes them in work. History is another passion, along with music – specifically Blues Music.
Lisa’s career has included sales and marketing, event management and planning, as well as purchasing and budgeting. All these skills will benefit the Central States Chapter in the position of First Vice Chair as this position involves the same skill set (planning, site selection, negotiation, and organization) she uses every day.
Lisa has been a member of SATW Central States Chapter Board for the last year, in the Secretary/Treasurer position.
