I am a long-standing Associate member of SATW, who has previously served on the Eastern Chapter board. As the chair of the Associates Council, I aim to further enhance professional development for senior-level public relations practitioners, pursuing speakers for conference sessions and panelists for webinars who are new to our organization and offer distinct points of view. As Associate members, we all seek efficient access to journalist contact details and recent editorial placements, so in this role I plan to work toward a solution for keeping SATW’s journalist directory up to date, potentially exploring a partnership with Muck Rack. As SATW strives to recruit more Associate members, I’m committed to being proactive in introducing membership benefits to prospective destination and hospitality applicants through email marketing campaigns that provide a taste of SATW’s research and introductory access to professional development opportunities. I am open to new ideas for maximizing your SATW membership and encourage the contribution of your time to help enhance our organization for all Associates.
