Description

This brief but eventful excursion is not for landlubbers. Immerse yourself, literally, into the rhythms of a truly great lake. Participants will have the option to get acquainted with the lay of the land, err, lake – and then dive in. If you fish, that means boarding a guided charter to catch salmon, trout or walleye Get acquainted with the lay of the land, err, lake – and then dive in. If you fish, that means boarding a guided charter to catch salmon, trout or walleye. We provide a one-day fishing license, fishing gear and a way to keep your catch frozen until you head home. If you want to experience sailing on the open waters, now is your chance as you set sail on Lake Michigan. Under consideration as a national marine sanctuary – because of an abundance of shipwrecks – is a 65-mile-long stretch of the lakeshore. Divers with advanced open water certification will explore a sampling of these unusual sunken treasures. Fifteen of 37 known shipwrecks from 19th and early 20th centuries stay intact because of the lake’s cold water and lack of salt to erode what has sunk. Lastly, if conditions are right, experienced surfers can hang 10 … near downtown Sheboygan. No joke.
